Soap is made with Sodium Hydroxide and oils and butters and a liquid to dissolve the sodium hydroxide. The chemical reaction of those ingredients make a cleansing product we call soap. It also produces glycerin, a humectant that draws moisture from the air to your skin. This natural way of cleaning is the way I make soap, with all the glycerin. No added chemicals are needed to moisturize, lather or clean. The glycerin is not pressed out, as with commercial detergent bars.
All of my soaps are made with: Aloe Vera Juice or Goat’s Milk, Olive Oil, Palm Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Kernel Oil, Castor Oil, Cocoa Butter, and Fair Trade Shea Butter. This combination gives you a moisturizing, luxurious bar of soap with creamy, rich lather. Then added to that combination are: oxide colorants or natural herbal colorants; as well as either Essential Oils (from nature); or where nature cannot provide the scent in large quantities or it is cost prohibitive, Fragrance Oils (from the laboratory). For the soaps made with Essential Oils, look for the asterisk (*).
NOTE: Although I use essential oils, I make no claims as to their medicinal use or value. You are welcome to “Google” an oil on your own. All Soaps weigh at least 6.5 oz. after 3-6 weeks cure time. Each bar lasts approximately 3-6 weeks, depending on usage.
